About the Role:
The Research Analyst (Korean & English) conducts web-based research and analysis on global technology companies, institutions, and other legal entities. The role focuses on identifying and validating patent ownership by analysing corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions, company history, and related business information across Korean and English-language sources.
This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with incomplete or complex information.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct web-based research using Korean and English-language sources to validate and maintain high-quality patent ownership data.
- Analyse corporate structures, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), spin-offs, company name changes, and patent transactions to determine accurate commercial ownership.
- Review and reconcile information from multiple sources to ensure research accuracy and consistency.
- Process assigned workloads while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
- Identify trends, inconsistencies, or process improvement opportunities that may improve research quality or operational efficiency.
- Communicate research findings and issues clearly and professionally.
Requirements:
Core Competencies
- Korean Language Proficiency: Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills in Korean.
- English Language Proficiency: Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills in English.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate information logically and identify relationships, inconsistencies, and relevant details.
- Research Skills: Ability to investigate, compare, and validate information from multiple online sources.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy while handling large volumes of information.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using MS Office applications and web-based research tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Previous experience in research, data analysis, investigation, or related work is preferred.
