Quality Engineer

up to £42,000 depending on experience
A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Engineerworking within the Additive Manufacturing Group. The successful candidate will be required to provide Quality support across the full range of AM Machinesand operations.
Responsibilities
Provide Quality Support for key activities including - CustomerComplaints / Internal CCAR Reporting / Risk Management activities/ Manufacturing support activities
Provide Quality support to operations team, design and purchasingteamsfor the resolution of quality issuesreported from In field escalations and Internal Quality Concerns from GMSD division (Manufacturing Service Divisions)
Supportinternal Design meetingsfor current productsengineering changes
Analyse performancefrom Corrective Action SystemsdatabaseandidentifyProduct reliability issues. Provide Quality dataanalysisfor continuous improvementactivities using cooperate systems
Support Quality Engineering functionswith Key Performance Metrics and Supporting data, extracted from software reporting tools
Manage and control Corrective Action Systemsinternallyand coordinate design review / product realisation meetings,to implement corrective / preventive solutions
Key requirements
Working knowledge of BS EN ISO9001
3-5 years’ experience in Engineering / Manufacturing sector withina quality focused role
Minimum of HNCin Engineering discipline / Or relevant industry experience
Experienceinproject-controlledenvironments& Engineering change activities, includingNew Product Introduction
Understanding of Technical Reports / Drawings
Working knowledge of CAD platforms & Assembly BOMs
Excellent communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Exceland Power Bi
Working knowledge of FMEA& Risk Assessment tools
UK Driving license as some travel to with UK will be required.
Desirable requirements
Knowledge of qualitytools and statistical techniques used withSixSigma methodologies
Knowledge of Systems / Mechanical/ Electricalengineering.
Auditing experience (Training Can be Given)
Six Sigma Certification (Training Can be Given)

The successful applicant will be organised, self-motivatedand detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.Theywillbe a confident team playerand a strong advocatefor quality, ableto meetstrict deadlines while supportingothers to do the same.The role also requires resilience under pressure and flexibility in working hours.This role offers the opportunity to develop expertisein a unique,multidisciplinary technology environment.Further training and development opportunities may be provided.
