The Director, Product Management - OPUS® PPC (Pre-Packed Column) will lead the Product Management team and own strategy, commercialization, lifecycle performance, and business results for the OPUS® portfolio. This leader will drive platform growth, digital service leadership, customer design-in, operational execution, and talent development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Product Management team and own end-to-end lifecycle management for the OPUS® pre-packed chromatography portfolio, including strategy, roadmap, segmentation, growth priorities, and AOP.
  • Set long-term business strategy and tactics with the OPUS® business unit team across product development, pricing, positioning, marketing, manufacturing readiness, cost reduction, and portfolio investments.
  • Drive commercialization, customer adoption, and design-in conversion through value proposition, sales enablement, field support, competitive guidance, and effective customer-facing collateral.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch customer-driven new products supported by sound business cases, clear execution plans, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive platform innovation and digital service leadership, including configurator enhancements, specification automation, and data-enabled customer experience.
  • Integrate and harmonize application data, performance insights, design rules, and customer-use learnings to support design-in from process development through commercial manufacturing.
  • Partner with Commercial to translate customer input, opportunity funnel, and pipeline data into product and revenue forecasts that support demand planning, manufacturing readiness, and revenue growth.
  • Track and improve business performance metrics, including revenue, funnel, margin, complaints, quality, on-time delivery, customer adoption, and continuous improvement priorities.
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Quality, R&D, IT, and other cross-functional leaders to execute go-to-market programs, strengthen the customer opportunity funnel, improve delivery and quality, reduce complaints, and support QMS priorities.
  • Serve as the customer advocate and internal product champion while identifying, developing, and retaining top Product Management talent to build a world-class team.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering discipline; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in product management, portfolio strategy, commercialization, or business leadership in bioprocessing, chromatography, life sciences tools, or related markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex platform strategy, digital transformation, customer adoption, and cross-functional execution.
  • 7+ years of direct report management experience with proven ability to lead and develop product management talent in a fast-paced technical business.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical capability, executive communication, and stakeholder influence across Commercial, Operations, R&D, Quality, Finance, and IT.
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 25%.

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $123,000-$235,750. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts.
