ResMed is a medical device company founded in Sydney in 1989 by a physician who had helped develop the first practical treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea and could not persuade anyone else to commercialise it. It makes the masks, flow generators and ventilators used to treat sleep apnoea and chronic respiratory disease, and it has built a large software business in the cloud platforms that manage those devices and the out-of-hospital care around them. Now headquartered in San Diego and listed in New York and Sydney, it shares the sleep apnoea market largely with Philips and benefited substantially from its competitor's device recall.

Lead product innovation where healthcare meets technology

As Senior Product Manager, Devices Software, you will help set the product direction for software across Resmed’s devices, with a specific focus on our therapy experience. Based in Dublin and working within the Product Development team, you will bring together user, market, clinical, and business needs to define clear priorities and turn strategy into delivered outcomes. You will work closely with product, engineering, design, clinical, regulatory, quality, operations, and commercial teams, helping them make sound decisions and create a coherent therapy experience across devices and related services.

What You'll Do

  • Define and develop the product direction for our therapy experience
  • Translate user, market, clinical, and business insights into clear priorities and roadmaps.
  • Balance immediate delivery needs with long-term product health and platform reuse.
  • Ensure product decisions support a coherent patient experience across devices and related services.
  • Lead discovery to understand user needs, pain points, and areas of opportunity.
  • Frame product problems, define intended outcomes, and establish meaningful success measures.
  • Write strong product requirements and success measures.
  • Make evidence-based prioritization decisions and explain the rationale behind them.
  • Partner with engineering and design throughout development, release planning, sustaining work, and iterative improvement.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs early, then guide decisions through to resolution.
  • Support launch readiness and post-launch learning for new software capabilities.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, clinical, regulatory, quality, operations, and commercial teams, ensuring stakeholders are aligned on product priorities, direction, and delivery.
  • Elevate product excellence by strengthening product practices, coaching team members, and improving ways of working across the product development group.

What You Bring

  • At least six years in product management, product development, or a closely related technical or commercial role.
  • A background working with connected devices, embedded software, digital health products, or other regulated technologies.
  • Sound product judgement and the ability to turn ambiguity into clear decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A record of leading cross-functional work involving technical and non-technical teams.
  • The ability to connect user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Confidence using data, evidence, and experimentation to guide product decisions.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of healthcare, medtech, or another regulated environment.

What Sets You Apart

  • Clarity in ambiguity: Bring structure to complex problems and help teams understand what matters most.
  • Thoughtful judgement: Consider different perspectives and make timely, well-reasoned trade-offs.
  • Collaborative leadership: Build trust across teams and create shared ownership of decisions.
  • Open communication: Explain direction, progress, risks, and changes in a clear and structured way.
  • Commitment to improvement: Strengthen ways of working and help others develop their product thinking.
  • Outcome focus: Keep the attention on meaningful improvements for users and the business.

Why Join Resmed
