RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks a Civil Engineer (Professional Engineer) to join our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, AK office.
The Civil Engineer designs and manages various types of projects in our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Junea Juneau, Alaska office for public and private sector clients. This is a hands-on engineering design position in RESPEC’s Transportation Market Sector and will include working on variety of multidiscipline design and construction projects. This is a great career opportunity for a dynamic, energetic individual looking to grow in their profession while gaining valuable experience on a wide variety of projects performed across Alaska.

Required
- B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Alaska Professional Engineering License, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
- 5 - 15 years of experience; 5+ years of cold regions experience preferred.
- Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency.
- Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
- Able to manage teams and contracts on multiple projects concurrently.
- Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.
Preferred
- Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating is a plus.
- Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site, and roadway improvement projects.
- Experience managing design projects.
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
