Role Description

You'll join respond.io 's Marketing team as our first International Event Manager, building our event program from scratch. You'll find the trade shows and industry events where our potential customers gather, mainly in Singapore, Europe and the US, and own each one end to end. You'll work closely with Sales and our Marketing teams, and success is measured by the pipeline and customers our events bring in. This role is for someone who has run business events before, not a marketer looking to move into events.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build and run our event program from scratch, from event selection to delivery.
• Research and compare trade shows and industry events where our potential customers gather.
• Partner with Sales to choose events by market and industry, and brief them beforehand.
• Negotiate with organizers on booths, sponsorships, speaking slots and contracts.
• Plan event budgets, track spend and report on pipeline and customers sourced.
• Manage logistics end to end, including vendors, travel, shipping and printed materials.
• Work with our Marketing teams on event collateral, design requests and booth materials.
• Partner with Marketing Technology and Growth on event funnels, lead capture and follow-up.
• Use AI and project management tools to plan, automate and document every event.
• Over time, support wider brand initiatives such as communities and regional brand awareness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years running B2B events in event marketing, field marketing or event management.
• Experience owning trade shows or conferences end to end, from sourcing to follow-up.
• Experience running events in at least one of Singapore, Europe or the US.
• Experience managing event or marketing budgets and vendor relationships.
• Strong project management skills, hands-on with tools like Notion, Asana, ClickUp or similar.
• Regular AI user beyond chat, using AI tools to automate and speed up work.
• Comfortable owning work independently as a solo contributor with no dedicated team.
• Clear, proactive communicator with Sales, Marketing, organizers and vendors.
• Experience managing event leads in a CRM or marketing automation tool is a plus.
• Tech or SaaS event experience is a plus.
• Experience with branding, community building or regional brand awareness is a plus.
• An international language such as Spanish, German, Italian or French is a plus.
