Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm

Work Location: On-site, Saulter Street

Compensation: $21.00/hour

Our Food Production team is looking for a fantastic person to join us as an Overnight Cook. If you like the sound of us so far, keep reading to see if you have the experience and skills needed for this rewarding role!

The Position

The Cook Team Member contributes to the preparation for that day's tasty lunch. You'll perform routine kitchen duties such as setting up workstations, and following recipes. The Cook Team Member is proactive in health and safety matters, ensuring all rules are being followed. The Cook Team Member will consistently work as a member of a fast-paced, busy environment in a team setting. 

Key Responsibilities

Food Production

Assist with high-volume meal preparation.

Cook and portion hot food items according to standardized recipes.

Organize, weigh, and count food ingredients.

Follow all food safety regulations and operational guidelines.

Ensure all food meets quality and safety standards, promptly reporting any issues to the Quality Assurance team and Production Manager.

Contribute to team performance metrics and participate in team meetings.

Support production tasks related to meal preparation for the following day.

Other duties as required

Clean & Safe Work Environment

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Ensure fridges and freezers remain well-stocked and orderly.

Properly sort and dispose of kitchen waste in an organized manner.

Assist with waste removal as needed.

Adhere to all health and safety protocols to create a safe working environment.

About You

Required Education & Experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food production environment is preferred.

Additional Skills

Strong work ethic – dedicated, reliable, and eager to get the job done right.

Team player – works well in a collaborative environment.

Punctual and dependable – maintains a strong attendance record.

Physical stamina – able to stand for an entire 8-hour shift and lift up to 25kg repeatedly.

Attention to cleanliness – maintains high hygiene and sanitation standards.

Basic English proficiency – ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Math skills – capable of performing basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) for portioning and measurements.
