Sorter Operator

Job Description Perform all required preventative maintenance. Perform repairs on the machinery in the shipping department. Monitor the machinery and dust systems.

Job Duties •    The Sorter Operator is responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting        unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.•    Operate and maintains color sorting equipment and bin gates, checks samples of rice, records all required information on documentation sheets and performs required sanitation and cleaning tasks.•    Must be able to climb, work at heights, ride a "man-lift" and to follow both written and verbal instructions. •    Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education RequirementsOne year certificate from college or technical school preferred: or High School Diploma or equivalent.
