Rightmove is a Milton Keynes company founded in 2000 that operates the dominant property portal in the United Kingdom. Estate agents pay to list homes on a site that receives the great majority of British property search traffic. The company is a member of the FTSE 100 and runs data and valuation products alongside its listings.

Our vision is to give everyone the belief they can make their move. We aim to make moving simpler, by giving everyone the best place to turn to and return to for access to the tools, expertise, trust, and belief to make it happen.

We’re home to the UK’s largest choice of properties and are the go-to destination for millions of people planning their next move, reading the latest industry news, or just browsing what’s on the market.

We're looking for an experienced Product Designer to join our new Partner team within Native Apps. You'll help shape the future of how home seekers discover and connect with estate agents, new home developers and build-to-rent developers, designing consumer experiences that create meaningful value for both consumers and our partners. Working closely with our web teams, you'll create seamless cross-platform journeys, ensuring the right features appear in the right place to support every stage of the home-moving journey.

The role:

  • Help shape and deliver the mobile app experience across iOS and Android.
  • Stay hands-on across discovery, interaction design and UI craft.
  • Apply and contribute to reusable patterns, components and design system evolution.
  • Use insights and research findings to validate solutions and drive direction.
  • Report to and work closely with the Lead Product Designer for Native Apps.
  • Hybrid - 2 days per week in the Soho, London office and 3 days from home.
  • Collaborate with a team of 25+ designers, content designers and researchers to help shape the future of Rightmove.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and fellow designers to shape the mobile app experience.
  • Plan, run and analyse research to validate ideas and generate clear evidence.
  • Use insights and analytics to iterate solutions and influence decisions.
  • Produce user journeys, flows, wireframes and prototypes to bring ideas to life.
  • Design native interactions and patterns across the home-moving journey.
  • Partner with Content Design when shaping complex flows and messaging.
  • Consider tone, hierarchy and edge cases across the app experience.
  • Support accessibility and help others understand the value of inclusive design.
  • Apply and improve design system components and patterns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patterns and share feedback with the design system team.
  • Work closely with Product on direction, risks and commercial awareness.
  • Contribute to improving workflows and design practices within the app teams.
  • Share work early, participate in critiques and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Document your design thinking and decisions for delivery teams.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • A collaborative mindset and confidence working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and creativity, including exploring emerging tools and responsible use of AI.
  • Experience designing and shipping native app experiences end-to-end.
  • Strong understanding of iOS and Android design patterns, capabilities and constraints.
  • Ability to design complex journeys and multi-step interactions.
  • Experience using research, data and analytics to inform design decisions.
  • Ability to produce polished UI and prototypes that align with our design system.
  • Confidence navigating technical conversations and constraints.
  • Skill in balancing usability, commercial goals and technical feasibility.
  • Inclusive design awareness with attention to detail and quality.
