Safety Lead

The Safety Lead is accountable for the entire performance of the unit and its personnel. This role is responsible for performance management and development, process improvements, conflict resolution and stakeholder management.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations, productivity, and field performance of the safety team, directly stepping in to manage field operations firsthand when required.
• Conduct scheduled and surprise inspections and safety audits across all operational sites to ensure absolute compliance with standard safety protocols.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for all safety matters and incidents, leading on-site investigations and implementing swift corrective actions.
• Govern the accuracy and integrity of all safety records, incident reports, audit reviews, and compliance documentation prepared by the team.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mandatory training mandates, spearheading the rollout of compliance programs aligned with OSHA and local regulations.
• Organize and facilitate in-house safety training, cascade meetings, and periodic safety briefings to address and mitigate job-related hazards.
• Review and optimize safety processes and procedures, continuously evaluating program data to implement systemic corrective actions.
• Prepare and deliver safety performance metrics, risk evaluations, and incident reports to senior management while ensuring alignment among cross-functional stakeholders.
