Principal Product Marketing Manager, Foundational AI

Unlike anywhere else in AI right now, Roblox is building AI for creation. The mission of our Foundation AI team is to put generative AI in the hands of millions of creators. Last year, we shipped our first 3D foundation model, which turns text prompt into a production-ready 3D object. We're now pushing further into multi-modal input, like image, video, and 3D assets, and toward 4D, fully interactive worlds, all while developers keep full control of their game rules and physics.

Creators use these models to build everything from a single 3D object to an entire playable world, reaching tens of millions of people every day. That end-to-end loop, from a creator's first prompt to a player's first moment inside an experience, is what makes this space different. The story of what these tools can do, and where they're headed, is still largely untold.

We are looking for a world-class Senior Product Marketing Manager to define how Roblox communicates the future of AI-powered creation. This is a high-visibility role requiring a blend of technical fluency, narrative craft, and the cross-functional instincts to move quickly in one of the most dynamic spaces in the industry. You will be embedded with our Foundation AI product and engineering teams, earning fluency at the intersection of deep technical innovation and a creator community that cares intensely about what gets built. You will build the brief, run the launch, and shape how millions of creators understand what is possible today and where we’re headed. 

This role is based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters on a hybrid model, in-person three days a week, and reports into the Director of Creator Product Marketing.

You Will: 

• Own the positioning and messaging for our Foundation AI products and turn technical capability into narratives that earn trust and drive action with creators.
• Use the tools you are marketing. Hands-on product familiarity produces better stories than any spec sheet.
• Stay ahead of the AI landscape. Develop a point of view on where Roblox sits and articulate what makes AI-native creation genuinely distinct.
• Thread individual launches into a larger arc. In a fast-shipping environment, you build the through-line that shows creators where we are going and why it matters.
• Move fast and bring people with you. You have the instincts to act quickly and the relationship skills to keep partners aligned without slowing down.
• Close the loop between market and product. You bring creator sentiment and market signals into roadmap conversations just as naturally as you build the external narrative from them.
• Think beyond launch day. You are energized by driving adoption and building the sustained education that turns a feature into a habit.

You Have: 

• 8+ years of Product Marketing experience at a high-growth technology company, with a track record in developer tools, AI products, or technical platforms
• Genuine curiosity about AI. You follow the space, have opinions about it, and are comfortable enough to use it, experiment with it, and explain it without oversimplifying.
• Narrative instinct. You find the “so what” in a dense technical briefing and make complex work legible and worth caring about.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the range to adapt your voice for a developer community, an exec, or a creative brief.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment. You quarterback GTM across Comms, Legal, DevRel, and Creative and keep things moving without losing people.
• Deep creator empathy and a collaborative nature. You build trust with engineering and product partners because you take their work as seriously as they do.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range

$263,710—$300,940 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
