Here's what we're looking for:

The Patient Insights Software Chapter, within the Architecture and Software Engineering global function, aims to leverage software engineering as a competitive advantage for Roche, empowering patients and healthcare professionals to deliver better care.

We are looking for a Delivery Manager to lead and elevate software delivery across our Patient Centered Disease Management organization. As a cornerstone of our digital ecosystem, this product line features an innovative, market-leading solution aimed at supporting people with diabetes through seamless, everyday management.

As Delivery Manager, you lead and take ownership of Product Delivery within Engineering. This is an operationally hands-on role focused on engineering best practices, tooling standards, regulatory compliance, project management and scaled agile leadership. You are the orchestrator with a single goal: ensure effective and efficient product delivery, within budget and with the expected level of product quality while actively leveraging analytics and AI-enabled tools to enhance predictability, performance and operating model effectiveness at scale.

If you are passionate about agile software delivery, a strong people leader, an empathic communicator, a team player and excited to help build an AI-augmented delivery ecosystem, this role is for you.

Your Responsibilities

1. Delivery Leadership & Coordination

  • Drive alignment, support decision-making and ensure the team delivers value effectively, on time, within budget and with the expected level of product quality.

  • Maintain the Delivery Plan as a self-updating single source of truth for product delivery, coordinating across cross-functional stakeholders to manage milestones, dependencies, clear execution paths and address blockers.

  • Proactively map cross-team dependencies, monitor technical/delivery risks and make impediments visible to resolve them early, leveraging AI-powered forecasting.

  • Oversee the release process, backlog prioritization, integration needs and end-to-end flow of value across the platform to enable predictable, sustainable and high-performing delivery.

  • Facilitate key ceremonies (PI Plannings, Demos, Inspect & Adapt, Refinements, Syncs and Retrospectives) ensuring the team maintains alignment and focus on clear priorities.

  • Oversee the allocated budget to inform capacity planning and organizational design. Dynamically adapt team topologies to evolving needs to ensure efficiency and establish the optimal operating model for product success.

  • Support overall audit readiness and cross-functional coordination, ensuring that delivery milestones naturally align with organizational standards and release guardrails.

2. Ways of Working & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the evolution of roles, ceremonies, processes and tools to reduce complexity, eliminate waste and harmonize ways of working to make daily work easier for teams.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying systemic inefficiencies through data-driven insights and automated analytics, including AI-enabled process optimization.

  • Promote robust engineering practices that naturally embed quality guardrails, cybersecurity awareness and technical documentation directly into continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Collaborate with other RTEs across the organization to share and leverage learnings, strengthening capabilities as an active member of the A&SE Delivery Community.

3. High-Performing Teams & Culture

  • Foster trust, autonomy, open communication and early collaboration across teams. Empower teams to self-organize, develop themselves and reach their commitments.

  • Coach teams and leaders on Agile, Lean and leveraging AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and engineering excellence. Hold teams accountable for delivering to agreed engineering standards, stepping in to cover critical gaps when required, without becoming the default solution for unresolved work.

4. Successful Behaviours

  • Views the organization as an interconnected network, identifying how localized changes impact the broader delivery ecosystem.

  • Encourages collaboration across teams and actively engages with stakeholders across organizations (R&D, Business, Q&R, UX, Affiliates) to manage expectations and align goals.

  • Creates an environment of trust and mutual influence, navigating complex matrix environments while maintaining a calm, supportive and agile mindset.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years in Delivery Lead, RTE, Solution Train Engineer or Senior Product Development roles with a heavy emphasis on scaled program execution and cross-functional lifecycle management.

  • 4+ years of experience acting as an RTE or Agile Lead; SAFe certification is highly preferred.

  • Deep expertise in software/systems engineering within the healthcare, diagnostics or digital health sectors.

  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools and engineering metrics to improve delivery, predictability and operational excellence.

  • Skilled at communicating complex technical or program insights clearly to senior leadership, engineering teams, Business Owners and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • A STEM degree is highly valued, especially when combined with extensive experience in technical program delivery.
