The Position
As a Payroll, Time & Benefits Specialist, you will join our People Support Solutions (PSS) team based in San José, Costa Rica, to deliver payroll, time, absence management, and benefits advisory support, focusing specifically on our operations in Colombia. In this role, you will be responsible for executing end-to-end HR system data maintenance and payroll processes, ensuring operational compliance with Colombian labor, tax, and social security regulations, in alignment with Roche People Practices. You will collaborate cross-functionally and globally from Costa Rica to drive continuous process improvement and seamless service delivery.
The Opportunity
Execute accurate HR system data maintenance, payroll processing, tax, social security, time, and benefits administration strictly following Colombian labor law and local regulatory requirements from our Costa Rica hub.
Provide end-to-end customer service and inquiry resolution regarding pay, time, and benefits for Colombia, ensuring full compliance with local time and absence policies.
Manage, process, and reconcile mass upload files for all pay frequencies while monitoring Workday-to-vendor data flows and resolving integration errors for the local payroll vendor in Colombia.
Partner with P&C Chapters and local support teams, maintaining updated knowledge documentation (KAs, SWIs) and providing guidance on Colombian payroll processes.
Ensure regulatory compliance, statutory filings, and audit readiness in line with Colombian payroll regulations, managing key stakeholder relationships to deliver proactive customer outcomes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, project activities, and non-PTB operational support according to defined KPIs and ServiceNow OKRs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with regional and global PSS peers to ensure consistent, reliable, and high-quality service delivery.
Who you are
Must be currently located and legally authorized to work in Costa Rica (excluyente).
1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll services, time, and benefits administration, preferably within a Shared Service Center (SSC) environment.
In-depth, mandatory knowledge of the complete Colombian payroll cycle, labor law, tax, social security, and local regulatory requirements (excluyente).
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data reconciliation) alongside strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Proven ability to operate independently in a matrix, fast-paced, and multicultural environment handling competing priorities.
Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken) to interact effectively with global teams and regional stakeholders.
