About the Team
Our international and agile team is searching for a motivated Propulsion Test Engineer (f/m/d) to support our Launch & Operations team. You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high-performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Then apply with us.
Your Tasks
- Design and build test setups and test benches for propulsion systems
- Hands-on setup of test benches and necessary testing infrastructure
- Test specialized pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Develop test procedures and analyze test results
- Support the development of new propulsion design based on real test data
- Align resources to accomplish key objectives, assign clear accountability for important objectives
- Use various testing, analysis, modelling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance
- Create technical documentation
Your Qualifications
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years work experience in space or aeronautical systems
- Experience in operating and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic components
- Practical, hands-on experience from electrical or mechanical projects related to rocketry (through University teams, personal project or professional work)
- Strong understanding of rocket engine systems and fluid dynamics
- Strong understanding of sensor systems and instrumentation ideally with NI and Beckhoff equipment
- Experience with control systems and software
- Hands-on workshop experience is beneficial
- Fluent English oral and written (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
- High willingness to travel between RFAs test and launch sites in different countries in Europe for extended periods of time
