About the Team
Our international and agile team is looking for support from a motivated person as a Propulsion Test Technician (f/m/d). You enjoy working in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for high performance engineering solutions in aerospace technology? Your Tasks
- Serve as in the field test operator and technician during all propulsion hot-fire campaigns
- Take responsibility of engine assembly processes and in-situ upgrades to the test hardware
- Test integrated engines to determine acceptability for flight
- Assembly, Integration, troubleshooting and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Perform hardware reviews to evaluate the performance of test articles and stand systems (operations, quality, structural, fluids, electrical).
- Find innovative ways to create, review, and optimize testing processes/procedures to increase test system capability and cadence.
- Manage the execution of projects within extremely short timelines
- Align resources to accomplish key objectives, assign clear accountability for important objectives
- Create and maintain technical documentation
Your Qualifications
- Professional work experience and/or a completed apprenticeship in Aerospace, Industrial Mechanic, Automotive Mechatronic, Agricultural and Construction Machinery Technician or a related mechanical field
- Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, including working with assembly manuals, technical drawings, and instrumentation plans
- Practical experience with test stands and associated operations, such as engine dynamometers, turbine test rigs, or rocket propulsion test stands
- A good understanding of fluid systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics, is an advantage
- Experience with instrumentation and sensors, such as pressure transducers, temperature sensors, piezoelectric sensors, strain gauges, load cells, and flow meters, is an advantage
- Fluent written and spoken English, as all day-to-day activities are conducted in English
- Willingness to travel and work flexibly across RFA's test and launch sites
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to contribute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Calm, clear, and confident communication, including in high-pressure situations
