Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the smooth operation of machinery, equipment, and electrical systems to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain equipment performance. We will give priority to candidates with experience in panel building and panel wiring.

You will report to the MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING MANAGER and work onsite in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, India.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and electrical systems in compliance with company standards.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent machine failures and ensure equipment longevity.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
  • Support the design, assembly, and wiring of control panels, ensuring they meet industry standards.
  • Modify and upgrade electrical panels and wiring when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, including service records and work orders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan and implement maintenance schedules and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior maintenance staff.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Diploma Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems, machinery, and controls.
  • Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automation systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and maintenance best practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and resolve issues efficiently.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience in panel building and panel wiring.
  • Experience in the design, assembly, and testing of control panels.
  • Relevant certifications in electrical maintenance or automation.
  • Experience supporting installation, commissioning, and upgrades of industrial equipment and electrical panels.
