Rodeo FX is an award-winning creative company offering services in visual effects, animation, advertising and experiential. We partner with some of the world's leading storytellers and entertainment companies, including Netflix, HBO, Disney, Marvel, Amazon Studios, Warner Bros. and Sony.

In 2026, Rodeo FX opened its newest studio in Bengaluru, expanding our global network across Canada, the United States, Europe and India. Located in International Tech Park Bengaluru, the new 40,000-square-foot studio is designed to accommodate up to 400 artists and supports both Rodeo FX and Mikros Animation.

Our Bengaluru team is fully integrated into Rodeo FX's global pipeline, collaborating with artists, supervisors and production teams across our international studios on incredible projects.

To support close collaboration, strong team connections, and the creative energy of our studio, all Bengaluru roles are expected to work from the studio five days per week. This on-site presence helps foster effective communication, faster decision-making, knowledge sharing, and a consistent studio culture across teams.

The HR Department Manager supports employees and managers within their assigned departments, serving as the first point of contact for employment conditions, performance management, career development and project assignments. Working closely with Heads of Department, Supervisors, Production, Crew Planning and Recruitment, the role aligns staffing needs with available talent, supports employee development and promotes consistent people management practices.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations & HR Support

• Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers on employment conditions, contractual matters, career development, project assignments and training requests.
• Support Heads of Department in addressing employee relations and disciplinary matters, in collaboration with the HR Talent Manager.
• Collaborate with other Department Managers to ensure consistent practices and effective communication across departments.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR policies, processes, programs and guidelines, and contribute to their development and implementation with the HR team and HR Talent Manager.

Workforce Planning & Project Assignments

• Partner with Heads of Department, Supervisors, Producers and the Crew Planning Manager to staff VFX projects with the most appropriate available talent.
• Meet regularly with Production and Supervision to review project progress, identify staffing or scheduling challenges and propose solutions.
• Work with Heads of Department to maintain balanced teams in terms of expertise, seniority and skills.
• Coordinate vacation requests with the Crew Planning Manager and show teams to ensure appropriate coverage and approval.

Performance & Career Development

• Coordinate and conduct performance reviews with Project Supervisors and Heads of Department, ensuring clear, constructive feedback and appropriate follow-up.
• Support employees and managers in identifying career development opportunities and training needs.
• Collaborate with the Training team to follow through on development plans and support internal training initiatives.
• Work with Heads of Department to maintain consistent salary levels and lead the annual salary review process for assigned departments.

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Identify hiring needs with Heads of Department and communicate vacancies and priorities to the Recruitment team.
• Partner with Recruitment and Heads of Department to assess candidates and drive timely selection decisions.
• Coordinate onboarding within assigned departments, ensuring new employees are introduced to relevant workflows and pipelines, complete planned training and integrate into their teams.

Department Coordination & Employee Engagement

• Support Heads of Department by organizing department meetings and following up on action items.
• Contribute to department morale and team cohesion by organizing social and team-building activities.
• Represent Rodeo FX as an ambassador and support its employer visibility by sharing relevant company content and social media posts.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational human resources or a management role within the VFX industry.
• Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Shotgun.
• Good knowledge of Indian labour standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
• Strong interpersonal, coaching and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to take initiative and make effective decisions.
