Head of Warehouse Projects

At Rohlik, we own our end-to-end operations - from in-house technology and automated distribution centers to last-mile delivery. Delivering thousands of products same-day requires an operational backbone built on advanced warehouse automation, goods-to-person (G2P) systems, and highly efficient intralogistics.

The Automation department leads large-scale warehouse projects across the Group, enabling safe, high-performing, and customer-centric fulfillment operations in all our markets. As Head of Warehouse Projects, you will own the delivery execution of major CapEx implementation projects - from retrofits and G2P integrations in legacy sites to full layout rollouts for new expansion sites across Europe.

You are the single point of accountability for bringing approved designs to life. Taking an signed-off operational layout, you will drive the entire program through site readiness, vendor management, budget control, and commissioning - delivering fully operational sites on time, on budget, and ready for local teams.

What you will own and deliver

• End-to-End Delivery: Own the execution of warehouse implementation projects (fit-outs, retrofits, and new site layouts) from project kickoff through commissioning, go-live, and operational handover.

• Program & Schedule Management: Drive project plans, schedules, budgets, resourcing, and critical-path milestones, taking accountability for keeping all deliverables on track.

• Vendor & Site Governance: Manage external contractors, equipment vendors, and integrators on-site, ensuring quality standards and delivery commitments are met.

• Cross-Functional Integration: Coordinate with Solution Design, Automation, Procurement, Facilities, and Operations to translate designs into built assets - actively resolving technical and scheduling conflicts as they arise.

• Risk Management & Escalation: Identify project dependencies and risks early, maintaining structured RACI matrices and resolving blockers proactively.

• Testing & Operational Readiness: Lead commissioning, testing, and operational sign-off, ensuring clear handover, ongoing maintenance ownership, and troubleshooting protocols for local teams.

• Stakeholder Reporting: Provide clear, structured project status, risk, and financial variance reporting to leadership and project stakeholders.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience leading large-scale CapEx delivery projects in warehouse automation, material handling, or industrial manufacturing.

• Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field).

• Technical literacy in automation: Solid practical understanding of material handling systems, conveyors, racking, and goods-to-person (G2P / AS-RS) technologies to effectively manage vendors and engineering partners.

• Proven delivery leadership: Exceptional organizational skills with a track record of running complex critical paths, project budgets, and multi-vendor environments.

• Strong communication & presence: Clear, confident presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and direct external vendors.

• Hands-on, ownership mindset: Highly proactive approach to anticipating risks and stepping into operational details to keep projects moving.

• Willingness to travel: Flexibility for regular international travel across our European site network.

Nice-to-haves:

• Project Management Certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA Level C+, or equivalent).

• Background in e-commerce, retail fulfillment, or high-throughput logistics automation.

• Familiarity with next-generation logistics robotics and emerging warehouse technologies.
