Job Title: Financial Controller

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
About Organisation:
Roke Telkom is a Uganda-based telecommunications company that has been fully licensed since 2006 by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) as a Public Service Provider (capacity Resale, Voice & Data) and Public Infrastructure Provider.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review IFS-compliant statutory financial statements.
- Manage tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Excise Duty, and Corporate Income Tax.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Treasury functions.
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and foreign exchange exposure.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.
- Lead, coach, and develop Treasury and Accounts Payable teams.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- ICPAU membership or eligibility.
- Strong ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- Experience with IFRS reporting, tax compliance, URA audits, treasury, accounts payable, and external audits.
- Telecommunications industry experience is an added advantage.
