Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead our quality initiatives with a specialized focus on functional and load testing. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the robustness, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will design, execute, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies that identify potential bottlenecks and functional gaps before they impact our end users. As a senior member of the team, you will act as a guardian of software quality, collaborating closely with developers and product managers to uphold high engineering standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement end-to-end functional testing strategies to ensure all application features meet business requirements and user expectations.
• Develop, execute, and optimize complex load and stress testing scripts to evaluate system performance and scalability under high-traffic conditions.
• Perform deep-dive analysis on test results, identifying the root cause of performance degradation or functional defects and providing actionable insights to the development team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality metrics and service level agreements, ensuring that our deliverables remain highly performant.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices for test automation and performance benchmarking.
• Continuously refine and modernize the quality assurance lifecycle, integrating robust testing methodologies into the CI/CD pipeline.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Extensive professional experience in Quality Assurance with a proven track record in both functional and load testing for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Expertise in utilizing industry-standard performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, or K6) to simulate heavy user loads and monitor system responses.
• Deep understanding of software testing lifecycles, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect reporting.
• Strong technical background in identifying performance bottlenecks at the database, network, and application layer.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (such as Java, Python, or JavaScript) used for test automation and performance script development.
• Analytical mindset with a strong ability to prioritize tasks in a senior-level capacity, ensuring project deadlines are met without compromising on quality.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing infrastructure and distributed system architectures.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to drive automated quality gates.
• Relevant certifications in software testing or quality engineering.
