Sales Engineer

The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join us at Rotork UK. This exciting sales role will require a focus on activities from site level solution execution to the delivery of our sales strategy with in the Oil & Gas Market in the North of England. This will include the sales and account management of customers from end-users to OEM suppliers.

You will conduct onsite surveys, deal with operators on site and review installations and measurements to provide solutions to customers. You will also be responsible for customer visits within the territory as well as developing new and existing customers with in the region and an overseas territory.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivery of sales against agreed targets (directly or working with distributors)
• Provide technical advice to customers
• Use business development approaches to expand the customer base and potential revenue streams by identifying and setting up new customers
• Regular reporting using Rotork CRM on activities such as market intelligence, quotations, customer visits, and forecasting
• Customer ownership to drive excellent customer relationships
• Provide face to face communication with customers
• Working collaboratively with Application Engineering, Customer Services and other back office sales activities as required
• Demonstrate Rotork products and provide familiarisation training as needed to build internal and external knowledge and understanding of Rotork products

Experience Requirements:

Essential

• Sales experience in manufacturing and accompanying proven track record of success
• Relevant technical qualification
• Knowledge and experience of sales techniques
• Good command of English, (both spoken and written)

Desirable

• Degree or recognised qualification in Engineering
• Technical sales or service engineer background with experience of providing onsite quotes to customers
• Knowledge of valves and actuators
• Experience of working within the Oil & Gas industry or similar
