Role Summary

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Constructability Manager to bring practical construction expertise to the earliest stages of our national data center development pipeline. This role will evaluate prospective sites from a construction feasibility, execution, and risk perspective, helping Rowan understand what it will take to build each project safely, efficiently, and predictably before major development and design decisions are finalized.

Working closely with Development, Engineering and Solutions Architecture, the Senior Constructability Manager will develop formal, decision-ready site constructability assessments and executive summaries that identify critical constraints, key assumptions, risks, mitigation strategies, and recommended next steps. The role will participate in structured constructability reviews as designs advance, challenging assumptions and identifying opportunities to improve cost, schedule, safety, quality, and ease of execution.

As the primary Project Delivery representative during Preconstruction, this individual will connect early development and design activities with the realities of field delivery, coordinating with internal teams, consultants, general contractors, and trade partners as appropriate. Success requires strong field judgment, disciplined analysis, concise executive-level writing, and the ability to influence decisions without direct project authority.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% to prospective and active project sites nationwide.

Location: Denver, CO

Compensation: $150K - $185K (Offers Bonus)

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site constructability and construction-feasibility assessments for prospective data center sites across the United States, supporting early pipeline screening and investment/development decisions

  • Prepare formal written site assessment reports, concise executive summaries, and clear recommendations in collaboration with Engineering and Solutions Architecture; distinguish verified conditions, assumptions, open items, and material risks

  • Evaluate, among others, site access, topography, grading, geotechnical considerations, drainage, utilities, adjacent infrastructure, laydown and staging, heavy-haul routes, workforce availability, and local construction market conditions

  • Identify potential challenges involving civil/sitework, foundations, structural systems, building envelope, major mechanical/electrical infrastructure, utility interfaces, and site/campus expansion or phased development

  • Assess construction sequencing, temporary works, logistics, early works, enabling infrastructure, permitting dependencies, and schedule-critical constraints that could affect project feasibility or speed to market

  • Participate in and help organize formal multidisciplinary constructability reviews at key design milestones; document observations, assign follow-up actions with accountable owners, and monitor closure of material issues

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Rowan’s Project Delivery organization throughout Preconstruction, maintaining alignment among Development, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Project Controls, Procurement, and future site execution teams

  • Provide informed input into preliminary execution strategies, milestone schedules, construction phasing, delivery approaches, and early contractor engagement while partnering with the functions accountable for budgets, procurement, and design

  • Maintain clear site-level risk and opportunity logs, elevate high-consequence issues promptly, and translate technical findings into practical options and actionable decisions for senior leadership

  • Ability to prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, briefings, and written reports that clearly communicate constructability assessments, key risks, mitigation strategies, and recommendations to support informed decision-making by Rowan’s executive leadership team

  • Engage external engineers, consultants, contractors, utilities, and other stakeholders to validate site-specific assumptions and leverage current market and field intelligence

  • Develop consistent templates, review checklists, reporting standards, and lesson-learned practices for constructability assessments across Rowan’s growing portfolio

  • Ensure assessment findings, open issues, and execution assumptions are effectively documented and transferred to the assigned Project Delivery teams as projects advance into execution

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive construction experience, with substantial exposure to preconstruction, constructability reviews, field execution, or early-phase project planning on large, technically complex projects

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant construction experience will be considered

  • Demonstrated experience evaluating project sites, identifying construction constraints, and developing credible mitigation strategies across civil, structural, site infrastructure, and major building systems

  • Experience with hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial campuses, advanced manufacturing, or similarly complex projects strongly preferred

  • Exceptional business writing skills, including the ability to independently produce polished executive summaries, structured technical assessments, risk narratives, and decision-oriented presentations

  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, site logistics, phasing, contractor capabilities, conceptual schedules, and cost/schedule drivers; ability to interpret drawings, studies, and early design packages

  • Ability to operate effectively amid incomplete information, apply sound judgment, prioritize high-impact risks, and provide clear, defensible recommendations

  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills; proven ability to work across disciplines and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority

  • Self-directed and comfortable managing multiple prospective sites and shifting priorities across a national portfolio

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with scheduling, document management, and digital design/BIM review platforms is desirable
