The Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing the firm’s global daily cash-management activities, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational and financial obligations while optimizing available cash.

This role manages daily cash positioning, cash-flow forecasting, banking activities, payments, short-term investments and borrowing, bank relationships, treasury accounting, and general ledger activities. The Cash Manager will collaborate with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, FP&A, Tax, and business leaders to improve cash visibility, maintain accurate financial records, and support liquidity decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Daily cash and Liquidity Management

• Manage daily cash positioning across the firm’s bank accounts and legal entities
• Monitor cash balances, inflows, outflows, and upcoming funding requirements
• Ensure sufficient liquidity is available to meet payroll, vendor payments, tax payments, debt obligations, and other operational requirements
• Initiate or coordinate intercompany and interbank transfers to efficiently concentrate and deploy cash
• Manage and monitor the daily flows of the cash pooling structure across multiple bank partners
• Optimize the use of excess cash, including short-term investments or debt repayment, in accordance with the firm’s policy
• Monitor available credit facilities and coordinate short-term borrowings when necessary
• Identify opportunities to reduce idle cash, avoid unnecessary borrowing, and improve working-capital efficiency
• Oversee daily banking activities, including cash administration, payments, collections, funding, and account management
• Review and approve wire transfers, ACH payments, and other non-routine transactions in accordance with delegated authority
• Manage bank accounts, authorized signers, account documentation, and online banking access

Cash-Flow Forecasting and Reporting

• Prepare and maintain short- and medium-term cash-flow forecasts in the CFF platform including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly liquidity projections
• Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Payroll to collect and validate forecast inputs.
• Analyze actual cash flows against forecasts and explain material variances
• Identify potential liquidity surpluses or shortfalls and recommend appropriate actions

Treasury Accounting and General Ledger

• Oversee the accurate and timely recording of cash transactions in the general ledger
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries related to cash, bank fees, interest income and expense, investments, debt, and intercompany transfers
• Perform and review bank-to-general-ledger reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are resolved promptly
• Research cash and general ledger discrepancies and coordinate corrections with Accounting and operational teams
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to cash and treasury accounts
• Support internal and external audit requests related to cash balances, bank reconciliations, and treasury transactions
• Support the implementation and optimization of treasury management systems, ERP platforms, bank connectivity, and payment technologies
• Develop procedures and training materials for new or revised cash-management and accounting processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Five to seven years of progressive experience in corporate treasury, cash management, general ledger accounting, or a related finance function.
• Demonstrated experience with daily cash positioning, liquidity management, cash-flow forecasting, payment operations, and bank-account administration.
• Hands-on general ledger experience, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial close activities.
• Strong understanding of cash inflows and outflows, working capital, banking products, short-term investments, and credit facilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial analysis, reconciliations, forecasting, and large-data-set management.
• Experience using treasury systems and accounting systems, online banking platforms, and financial-reporting tools.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and execute accurately in a high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or progress toward a relevant professional certification
• Experience with a treasury management system such as Kyriba, GTreasury, FIS, or SAP Treasury.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite
• Familiarity with bank connectivity and payment formats, including APIs, SFTP, SWIFT, ACH, wires, and ISO 20022
• Experience in a multi-entity, multinational, or decentralized organization
• Knowledge of cash pooling, intercompany funding, debt, and short-term investment products.
• Experience supporting the financial close and external audit processes for a publicly traded or similarly complex organization.
