Rubrik's Sales Engineering team turns technical credibility into trust - it's the reason hospitals, banks, and government agencies choose Rubrik when it's their most sensitive data on the line.
As Senior Sales Engineer for Switzerland, you'll own the technical relationship end-to-end: discovery, demos, and validation for a targeted list of enterprise and mid-market accounts, architecting Rubrik's Data Resilience, Observability, and Remediation platform to solve real problems for Swiss organizations navigating cloud, SaaS, identity, and increasingly AI-driven data challenges. You'll have the autonomy to run deals your way, with the runway to grow into broader regional technical leadership as the Switzerland business scales.
What You'll Do
- Own discovery, demos, and technical validation (POC or otherwise) largely independently, keeping enterprise and mid-market opportunities across Switzerland moving without waiting on specialist support at every step.
- Adapt your pitch across on-prem, cloud, SaaS, identity, and increasingly AI-driven customer requirements, positioning the right combination of Rubrik capabilities for each customer's environment.
- Present to technical staff and senior leadership alike, translating Rubrik's platform into a clear answer for the business problem in front of you - not just a feature list.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with customers, developing champions who advocate for Rubrik through the full evaluation and buying process.
- Qualify opportunities against technical requirements, competition, decision-making process, and funding, so account teams focus their effort where it counts.
- Partner closely with account executives, partners, and the wider regional team, pulling in corporate resources when a deal needs them.
- Bring a distinct technical specialism to a small, deliberately complementary Switzerland SE team, and draw on teammates' depth in turn - the team is built to cover more ground together than any one person could alone.
Experience You'll Need
- Sales engineering experience in a software, SaaS, or data center environment, with a track record of running discovery, demos, and technical validations largely on your own.
- Professional fluency in English, with the confidence to run a full technical sales cycle directly with customers.
- Working breadth across cloud data management, backup and disaster recovery, and data resilience - depth in one or two areas is enough, since the team is built around complementary strengths, not clones.
- Comfortable carrying a high-volume pipeline: multiple customer calls, demos, or POC touchpoints in a day, each followed up on quickly.
- Business acumen and experience presenting to Cx0-level stakeholders, translating technical capability into business outcomes.
- A resourceful, ownership-driven approach: you close gaps yourself rather than waiting on a hand-off.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in German, French, or Italian alongside English, reflecting Switzerland's multilingual enterprise market.
- Experience with identity security, SaaS platforms, or AI-driven data workflows.
- Background at a fast-scaling or category-defining technology company.
