Our consumer retail client is seeking a Senior Salesforce Release Manager to manage Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD releases using GitHub Actions and Salesforce CLI
Join a technology team advancing Salesforce DevOps and release management capabilities across a large-scale guest services ecosystem. This role focuses on Salesforce CI/CD pipeline implementation, release coordination, environment management, and deployment automation across multiple engineering squads. The position supports evolving DevOps practices across Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud initiatives while improving deployment reliability and release efficiency.
6 month Contract, Vancouver or Toronto, Hybrid or remote, Working Hours: PST
Must Haves
- 10+ years managing Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and deployments across multiple Salesforce environments
- Hands-on development and maintenance of GitHub Actions and Salesforce CLI (SF CLI) CI/CD pipelines
- Deep expertise with Git branching strategies, pull request workflows, merge management, and release promotion
- Proficiency with Salesforce DX, GitHub, VS Code, and scripting deployment automation using Bash, PowerShell, or Python
- Education not specified
Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement and Data Cloud deployment capabilities
- Experience integrating Salesforce Code Analyzer/PMD and automated Apex testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Jira or similar tools for deployment traceability
- Experience with modular deployment strategies and package-based development
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Salesforce CLI
- Define scalable Git branching and merging strategies across Salesforce engineering squads
- Implement automated workflows for pull request validation, Apex testing, and deployments
- Coordinate end-to-end Salesforce releases, deployment schedules, and production readiness activities
- Maintain release calendars, deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and release checklists
- Investigate deployment failures, release incidents, and environment synchronization issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve source control discipline and deployment automation
