SALES AGENT
Location: Yaoundé, Cameroon

Position: Sales Agent

JOB MISSION

Manage, retain, and develop a client portfolio through prospecting, new client acquisition, commercial follow-up, debt collection, and competitive intelligence to contribute to revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prospect and search for new clients.
• Develop and retain the client portfolio.
• Organize prospecting and collection rounds.
• Ensure commercial follow-up with clients.
• Identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor commercial and competitive intelligence.
• Track orders, stock, and client payments.
• Contribute to achieving commercial objectives.

ACTIVITIES & TASKS

1. Prospecting

• Conduct prospecting rounds.
• Utilize client files, professional networks, trade fairs, and cold calls.
• Identify opportunities and contact potential clients.

2. Sales & Negotiation

• Take orders and organize client appointments.
• Negotiate commercial terms in line with company guidelines.
• Optimize client orders through a methodical approach (stock checks, order taking, promotional offers, early replenishment to avoid stockouts).
• Ensure receipt of invoices and client payment.

3. Client Follow-Up

• Provide after-sales service and follow up on complaints.
• Maintain a privileged relationship with clients.
• Ensure collection of receivables within deadlines.
• Update the client file with contacts and addresses.
• Reference products in the coverage area.

4. Intelligence & Reporting

• Monitor competitors and market trends.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Participate in commercial meetings.

Professional Experience

Minimum 2 years as a salesperson.

Academic Background

Minimum Bachelor's degree +2.

Professional Training

Commerce, Sales, Marketing, or a similar field.

Language

Bilingual – Fluent in English and French.
