About This Role
As Project Engineer, you will work alongside project managers, construction teams, ownership, and design partners to help keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and according to plan. You will have hands-on involvement in the details that drive successful project delivery-from RFIs and submittals to schedules, change orders, permitting, and field coordination.
This is an opportunity for an early-career construction professional to gain broad exposure to complex projects while building technical expertise and relationships across the construction lifecycle. You will have meaningful responsibility from the start while learning from an experienced team in an organization committed to long-term growth and development.
Your Contribution Will Likely Include
- Supporting estimating and purchasing efforts, including development of bid packages and baseline construction schedules
- Creating and managing RFIs from the field and coordinating responses with architects and engineers of record
- Processing and tracking subcontractor and vendor submittals through approval
- Maintaining, updating, and distributing project plans, records, specifications, clarifications, and closeout documentation
- Coordinating special inspections and tracking related documentation
- Assisting the Project Manager and owner with building permit procurement
- Documenting weekly project meetings and distributing notes and action items
- Reviewing subcontractor change orders for scope and pricing and preparing them for Project Manager review
- Providing field support to construction superintendents to help ensure contract and quality compliance
- Building productive relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
- Safely navigating active construction environments, including ladders, scaffolding, and uneven ground
Experience You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Understanding of construction project plans and specifications
- 1-2 years of construction experience preferred
- MEP experience or background preferred
- Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software preferred
- Working knowledge of construction engineering best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and related applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with employees and business partners at all levels
- Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
- Aptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technology

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $72,087 - $108,131 plus bonus eligibility.
