Sabre is seeking a highly skilled Manager, Software Systems Engineering to lead development efforts within the Offer Construction domain of the Sabre Mosaic program. This role will report to senior engineering leadership within the Mosaic organization. The Offer Construction team is responsible for designing and delivering next-generation solutions that power airline offer creation, pricing, and distribution. As part of the broader Mosaic transformation, the team builds scalable, cloud-native services that enable dynamic offer management across multiple channels, including NDC.

In this role, you will lead multiple development teams responsible for planning, designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. You will manage a mix of full-time engineers and contractor teams from strategic partner organizations, ensuring alignment, productivity, and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow software engineering teams, including both Sabre employees and external contractor teams

• Drive the design, development, and delivery of complex, scalable software solutions within the Offer Construction domain

• Own end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring alignment with program goals, timelines, and quality standards

• Promote and enforce high coding standards, best practices, and modern engineering principles

• Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define technical direction and deliver business value

• Provide strategic and technical leadership in selecting tools, technologies, and design approaches

• Manage team performance, provide feedback, and support career development and cultural growth

• Address complex technical and organizational challenges requiring deep understanding of business objectives

• Foster a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture across distributed and partner teams

• Guide teams in adopting AI across products as well as SDLC

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in software engineering leadership, with several years in a managerial role

• Strong background in leading distributed teams, including external vendors or contractor organizations

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• Experience delivering software in fast-paced Agile environments

• Strong technical expertise in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Kotlin, or similar)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices-based architectures

• Solid understanding of API-driven systems, event-driven architecture, and scalable distributed systems

• Familiarity with airline, travel, or offer/order domain concepts (preferred, especially NDC/retailing)

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

• AI passionate

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Self-driven, accountable, and quality-oriented mindset
