About Our Family
We’re a busy, active family of six with four wonderful kids, and our home is full of life, laughter, learning, and time together. There’s always something happening, from schoolwork and activities to meals, errands, and the everyday rhythms of family life. We love having a home that feels welcoming while also being organized, peaceful, and well cared for.
Our children are homeschooled, so much of our day happens together at home. We value the flexibility and connection that homeschooling gives our family, and we’ve built routines and systems that help our days run smoothly. At the same time, every day is a little different. We’re looking for someone who will take the time to understand how our family works, what matters to us, and where an extra set of hands can make the biggest difference.
This role is very much about helping create the environment our family thrives in. You might be preparing a meal, getting laundry folded and put away, organizing, running an errand, or helping get everyone out the door for an activity. Some days will be more behind-the-scenes; other days will involve more interaction with the kids. We’re looking for someone who can move comfortably between those needs and see the household as a whole.
Who You Are / What We’re Looking For
You’re warm, dependable, and naturally proactive. You like being useful, take pride in doing things well, and are someone people can count on. You take ownership of your responsibilities from start to finish. Once you understand how the household operates, you’re comfortable managing your responsibilities independently, anticipating needs, and following through without continual direction.
You communicate clearly, ask questions when something is unclear, and keep the family informed. You’re comfortable receiving feedback and learning how a household operates, while also bringing your own good judgment, initiative, and sense of responsibility for getting things done to the role.
You are good with children and comfortable being part of their everyday world. At the same time, you understand that this is primarily a household support role, with childcare and activity support woven into the family’s broader needs. You’re willing to see what needs doing, take responsibility for it, and make sure it gets done well.
