Head of IT

Context:

Saic Group is one of the leading educational and healthcare organizations in Bangladesh, established in 2002 with a vision to creating skilled human resources and ensuring quality & sustained employment through technical and vocational education and training in the fields of nursing, engineering & allied health Science. With a commitment to excellence, the group operates more than 22 institutions across the country, including medical colleges, nursing colleges, polytechnic institutes, diagnostic centers, hospitals, and NGOs. Now we are looking for Head of IT who will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the institution's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all IT-related activities.

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintain the IT infrastructure of the whole organization.
• Maintain protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and wireless networks.
• Coordinate and manage data backup and recovery processes.
• Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining computer hardware, software, system, network, printer, scanner, etc.
• Analyses the company’s technology need and propose upgrades and solutions.
• Providing technical support (physically or remotely) on call basis and in schedule.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system and reliability of all IT Systems.
• Investigating, diagnosing and solving computer software and hardware faults.
• Configuring & monitoring of CCTV, IP Camera, access control, time attendance devices and software.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with IT vendors and service providers.
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
• Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
• Maintaining records of Software licenses.
• Managing stocks of all IT accessories.
• Ensure network security and connectivity.
• Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Management.

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering

• MSc in Information Technology, Computer Science or a Relevant Subject will get preference.

• 7 to 14 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, College, University

• Age At least 32 years
• Only Male

• Ability to foresee future technology trends and how they can impact the business.
• Skilled in managing and driving change within the organization, particularly with digital transformations.       
• Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies (e.g., cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics).
• Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and compliance requirements.        
• Proficient in cybersecurity strategies and practices to protect organizational data and systems.        
• Skilled in managing IT crises and incidents, ensuring swift and effective responses.         
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
