Software Tester, Salling Group Tech

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Software Tester who can drive testing activities across complex digital solutions. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and following up on testing efforts while working closely with business stakeholders, developers, product owners, and other teams.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can switch context between multiple initiatives during the day, and enjoys taking ownership of quality assurance from requirements through delivery.

While the primary focus is manual testing, experience with test automation or a strong interest in helping establish and expand automation capabilities is considered an advantage.

**Key Responsibilities
**Manual Testing

• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test strategies.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Validate user interfaces, user experience, usability, and business workflows.
• Test across multiple browsers, devices, systems, and environments.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure overall solution quality.
• Test applications, websites, APIs, databases, and system integrations.
• Understand and validate business requirements, business rules, technical requirements, workflows, and processes.
• Document findings, defects, risks, and recommendations clearly and effectively.

Test Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Drive testing activities across projects and releases.
• Coordinate testing efforts with developers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and external partners.
• Facilitate alignment on testing scope, priorities, risks, and release readiness.
• Ensure testing activities are tracked, communicated, and followed through to completion.

Automation (Preferred)

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Identify suitable test scenarios and processes for automation.
• Execute automated test suites and analyse results.
• Maintain stable, reusable, and scalable automated tests.
• Work with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Contribute to building and improving the organization's automation capabilities.

Qualifications & ExperienceWe are looking for someone who has:

• Solid experience in manual software testing.
• Experience creating test plans and coordinating testing activities.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and quality assurance processes.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, integrations, and backend systems.
• Knowledge of, or practical experience working with, ISTQB or TMAP testing frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to independently drive testing activities and follow up on actions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and switch context when needed.

Nice to HaveThe following are considered advantages but are not required:

• Hands-on experience implementing or expanding test automation.
• Experience working within a microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and database querying.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Certified in ISTQB or TMAP.
