We are looking for a Bid and Proposal Manager who will own the end-to-end RFP process at Salt Edge: find RFP opportunities, manage the platforms they come through, and run each response from invitation to submission. The role makes sure every pursued bid is complete, compliant, and submitted on time, and that the right people contribute the right input at the right stage. It does not set the commercial or technical content of a bid; it runs the process that produces it.
Key Responsibilities:
Opportunity discovery and platform management
Build and maintain Salt Edge's register of procurement platforms across target regions: public tender portals, supplier networks, multilateral development banks, aggregators, others.
Register Salt Edge on priority platforms, keep registrations and pre-qualifications current, and manage renewals and subscriptions.
Set up and run monitoring: alerts, keyword filters, and CPV/UNSPSC classification codes.
Maintain one live pipeline tracker of current and upcoming RFPs, develop the process and make it visible in Zoho CRM/Jira/Confluence.
Screen new opportunities against agreed qualification criteria (product fit, client profile, region, contract value, deadline feasibility) and pass qualified ones to the cross-functional team with a short summary. The team decides whether to pursue; this role prepares the decision.
RFP process management
Open each pursued bid in Jira, create the working channels, and build the compliance matrix that lists every RFP requirement and where each answer will come from.
Set the internal timeline by working backwards from the submission deadline, with dated milestones for each contributor.
Organise and run the kick-off briefing, the cross-functional working sessions, and the decision-making committee meetings: agenda, minutes, and action tracking.
Assign response sections to contributors, track their inputs against internal deadlines, and escalate delays.
Compliance and submission
Check every submission against the RFP requirements: format, templates, file naming, page limits, required documents, and completeness.
Coordinate the administrative items with Finance and Legal so they are ready before the deadline: bid bonds and guarantees, certifications, registration documents, NDAs, signatures, notarisation or apostille, and data-residency or hosting attestations.
Manage the upload or delivery and confirm receipt.
Confirm that written cross-functional approval and any pricing or delegation-of-authority sign-off is recorded before submission.
Coordination and governance
Act as the single process owner for each bid while the Sales or BD deal owner keeps the client relationship and win strategy.
Keep the decision points aligned with Salt Edge's delegation-of-authority and approval rules.
After submission, log confirmations, coordinate clarification questions, and run the win/loss review.
Knowledge and reporting
Build and maintain a reusable answer library (standard responses, boilerplate, case studies).
Keep the RFP process guides and templates current.
Report pipeline status, submission compliance, cycle times, and win/loss.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years in bid, proposal, or tender management in B2B technology, fintech, payments, SaaS, or regulated/public-sector procurement.
A record of owning submissions end-to-end and meeting deadlines across multiple teams.
Strong written English and editing skills; able to produce clear, plain-language responses.
Ability to hold senior contributors to deadlines without direct authority.
Working knowledge of procurement platforms (for example: SAP Ariba, TED, national tender portals).
Confidence with Jira and Confluence.
High attention to detail on formats, documents, and deadlines.
Nice to have:
Familiarity with CPV / UNSPSC classification codes.
Knowledge of Open Banking, payments, or financial-services technology.
APMP certification or equivalent bid-management training.
Experience with multilateral development banks or government procurement.
