AI, GenAI and next-best-action - evaluated hard, then industrialised. What You’ll Do Strategy: Set the multi-year MarTech roadmap. Sequence priorities across brands and markets with owners and investment attached.
Delivery: Run MarTech as a product - backlog, sprints, releases. Push back on complexity that doesn’t earn its keep.
Customer Data: Own identity, consent, segmentation and first-party activation. Make data trusted and usable everywhere.
Orchestration: Own automation across Email, SMS, Push, WhatsApp, Web and App. Build reusable personalisation, not one-off builds.
Architecture: Lead on APIs, integrations and platform reliability. Bridge marketing and engineering.
Analytics & AdTech: Own GA4, GTM, server-side tracking (Meta CAPI, Enhanced Conversions) and attribution (AppsFlyer, Branch).
Governance: Define the KPIs that matter. No initiative launches without a baseline and an owner. Cut dead tools and process.
AI & Automation: Separate hype from real use cases. Move what works from pilot to governed production.
Vendors: Own selection, contracts, SLAs. Hold vendors to outcomes. Cut overlap, reinvest the savings.
Team: Build and run a multidisciplinary MarTech team. Set the bar, build succession, document so it survives you.
Stakeholders: Be the single point of MarTech truth. Align execs on trade-offs. Drive real adoption, not just go-live. What You Bring 10-14+ years in MarTech, digital product, CRM/CDP or digital transformation - ideally retail, ecommerce or a large consumer business.
4-6+ years leading MarTech platforms or transformation across multiple brands and markets.
A track record of owning a MarTech roadmap end-to-end, not just parts of one.
Real agile/product chops, plus vendor and agency management with teeth.
A history of leading teams and moving senior stakeholders in a matrix org.
Relevant bachelor’s degree; advanced degree a plus. Skills That Matter CDP/CRM platforms (Bloomreach, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe AEP/Journey Optimizer, Braze, MoEngage or similar) - fluent, not just familiar.
Identity, consent and first-party data activation; omnichannel automation.
APIs, event streaming and cloud/data environments (Databricks, Azure, AWS, Snowflake or equivalent) - enough to speak engineering fluently.
GA4, GTM, server-side tracking, MMPs, and data activation to Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, DSPs.
Privacy-led measurement and a real point of view on cookie deprecation.
