Job Summary**
Sandvik AB is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Job Responsibilities**
* Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
* Reconcile various balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
* Perform general ledger account analysis and investigate discrepancies.
* Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
* Ensure compliance with Sandvik AB's financial policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve accounting issues.
* Contribute to process improvements within the accounting function.
* Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* 2-5 years of experience in a general accounting role.
* Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
