AbouttheOpportunity
You will play a critical role in coordinating customs clearance activities and ensuring compliance with all import and export regulations. Workingcloselywithfreightproviders,customsbrokers,governmentagencies,warehouses,andinternalstakeholders,youwillhelpminimisedelays,maintainaccuraterecords,andensuregoodsaredeliveredefficientlyacrossthebusiness.
KeyResponsibilities
- Coordinateandmonitorallcustomsclearanceactivitiesforincomingandoutgoingshipments.
- Liaisewithcustomsbrokers,freightforwarders,andshippingproviderstoensuretimelyclearanceanddeliveryofgoods.
- Assistinresolvingcustoms,freight,anddocumentationissues,includingdamages,variances,andnon-conformances.
- PrepareandmaintainimportandexportdocumentationinaccordancewithPNGcustomsregulations.
- Trackandtracepriorityshipments,providingtimelyupdatestostakeholders.
- Supportcustomsauditsandprovidedocumentationandinformationasrequired.
- Ensurerepairandreturnshipmentsareprocessedinlinewithcustomsrequirements.
- Monitorageingshipmentsandworkwithfreightprovidersandwarehousestoresolvedelays.
- Coordinatestockreturnexportstosuppliersandsupporttheprocessingofassociatedcreditnotes.
- AssistFinancewithimportdocumentationrequiredforsupplierinvoicepayments.
- MaintainaccuratecustomsandshippingrecordsandensurecompliancewithSandvikpoliciesandprocedures.
- Contributetoasafe,ethical,andhigh-performingworkplacethroughadherencetoSandvik'sCodeofConductandHealth,SafetyandEnvironmentstandards.

Tobesuccessful,youwillhave:
- Minimum4 years'experienceincustomsclearance,freightforwarding,logistics,orasimilarrole.
- Strongunderstandingofimportandexportregulationsandcustomsdocumentationrequirements.
- Experienceworkingwithcustomsbrokers,freightproviders,andgovernmentagencies.
- ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeapplications,particularlyExcelandWord.
- ExperienceusingERPsystemssuchasSAP,Aurora,orsimilar.
- Excellentorganisationalandtimemanagementskills.
- Strongproblem-solvingabilitiesandacustomer-focusedapproach.
- Abilitytoworkeffectivelywithminimalsupervision.
