AbouttheOpportunity

You will play a critical role in coordinating customs clearance activities and ensuring compliance with all import and export regulations. Workingcloselywithfreightproviders,customsbrokers,governmentagencies,warehouses,andinternalstakeholders,youwillhelpminimisedelays,maintainaccuraterecords,andensuregoodsaredeliveredefficientlyacrossthebusiness.

KeyResponsibilities

• Coordinateandmonitorallcustomsclearanceactivitiesforincomingandoutgoingshipments.
• Liaisewithcustomsbrokers,freightforwarders,andshippingproviderstoensuretimelyclearanceanddeliveryofgoods.
• Assistinresolvingcustoms,freight,anddocumentationissues,includingdamages,variances,andnon-conformances.
• PrepareandmaintainimportandexportdocumentationinaccordancewithPNGcustomsregulations.
• Trackandtracepriorityshipments,providingtimelyupdatestostakeholders.
• Supportcustomsauditsandprovidedocumentationandinformationasrequired.
• Ensurerepairandreturnshipmentsareprocessedinlinewithcustomsrequirements.
• Monitorageingshipmentsandworkwithfreightprovidersandwarehousestoresolvedelays.
• Coordinatestockreturnexportstosuppliersandsupporttheprocessingofassociatedcreditnotes.
• AssistFinancewithimportdocumentationrequiredforsupplierinvoicepayments.
• MaintainaccuratecustomsandshippingrecordsandensurecompliancewithSandvikpoliciesandprocedures.
• Contributetoasafe,ethical,andhigh-performingworkplacethroughadherencetoSandvik'sCodeofConductandHealth,SafetyandEnvironmentstandards.

You havestrongcommunicationskillsandbuildeffectiverelationshipswithbothinternalandexternalstakeholders.Yourattentiontodetailandcommitmenttocomplianceensureshipmentsmoveefficientlyanddocumentationremainsaccurate.

Tobesuccessful,youwillhave:

• Minimum4 years'experienceincustomsclearance,freightforwarding,logistics,orasimilarrole.
• Strongunderstandingofimportandexportregulationsandcustomsdocumentationrequirements.
• Experienceworkingwithcustomsbrokers,freightproviders,andgovernmentagencies.
• ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeapplications,particularlyExcelandWord.
• ExperienceusingERPsystemssuchasSAP,Aurora,orsimilar.
• Excellentorganisationalandtimemanagementskills.
• Strongproblem-solvingabilitiesandacustomer-focusedapproach.
• Abilitytoworkeffectivelywithminimalsupervision.
