About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Specialist to lead sourcing strategies across multiple direct categories. This role will focus onStrategic supplier management,optimizingcost, ensuring compliance, and driving supplier performance for criticalcategoriessuch asHydraulics, Power Group (engines, transmissions), and Drive Systems,mechanicaland otherdirect spend categories.This is an in-person role, located at our site in Alachua, Florida.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies for Direct Material categories-Hydraulics, Power Group (engines, transmissions), and Drive Systems-ensuring competitiveness, supply resilience, and business alignment
Ensure various suppliers' adherence to Sandvik policies and procedures (NDA, ABC, Trade Compliance, Contracts, etc.).
Conduct market analysis andidentifycost-saving opportunities across all indirect categories.
Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, and compliance with sustainability and safety standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance, HR) to align sourcing strategies with businessobjectives.
Identifyemerging technology and/or sources to proactively reduce total costs whileoptimizingbusiness performance (Total Cost of Ownership, Inventory Management, Capacity Analysis, Risk Mitigation).
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, orsimilardiscipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience inDirectmaterialsourcing or procurement.
External candidates must have the ability to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis without employer sponsorship
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts, even those involving complex agreements.
Familiarity with compliance standards such as anti-bribery measures, trade compliance,IMSand procurement policies.
Up-to-date awareness of supplier capabilities and market trends to guide sourcing choices.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical skills used for cost assessments andidentifyingpotential savings.
Function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction.
Solid working knowledge of ERP/MRP platforms andexpertisein MS Office applications.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating across different departments.
Skilled in resolving supplier challenges and minimizing risks
Experience with Indirect materials and services is a plus.
