Sanofi is a French pharmaceutical company formed in 1973 and assembled over five decades through a long series of mergers including Synthelabo, Aventis and Genzyme. It is now built around immunology and rare disease, with Dupixent for atopic dermatitis and asthma as by far its largest product, alongside a substantial vaccines division covering influenza, meningitis and the respiratory syncytial virus antibody Beyfortus. Headquartered in Paris, the group has sharpened its focus in recent years by separating its consumer healthcare business into the standalone company Opella and directing research spending toward biologics and immune science.
  • Location: Porto Salvo, Portugal
  • Start date: November 2026
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Work Model: full time / hybrid 3 days onsite

About the job

As a Regulatory Affairs Trainee, you will support activities that help ensure Sanofi medicines meet regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle. Working alongside experienced team members, you will help prepare submissions, maintain regulatory documentation, support packaging approval processes, and keep key information up to date.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Regulatory Affairs, learn how medicines are brought to patients, and build skills that can support your future career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Ready to grow your skills while helping shape the future of healthcare? At Sanofi, you’ll be empowered to learn, ask questions, and bring your ideas to life - all while supported by inspiring mentors and collaborative teams.

  • Translate and review regulatory documents, including product information, labeling, and packaging text.
  • Track deadlines and help ensure regulatory activities are completed on time.
  • Work with colleagues across different teams to support regulatory processes and documentation.
  • Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement of team activities and ways of working.

About you

To excel in this role you will need to have:

  • Current student (soon to graduate) or recent graduate status in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related Health Sciences field.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different people and teams.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and a good command of English (B2 level or above).
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude, curiosity to learn, and confidence to take ownership of tasks.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Previous exposure to Regulatory Affairs through coursework, projects, or training would be an advantage, but is not required.

Why choose us?

  • Stretch your skills through apprenticeships, internships, graduate programs, and international experiences that grow with you.
  • Learn from inspiring mentors and collaborative teams while contributing to real projects that shape the future of healthcare.

  • Grow in a purpose-driven company where your voice matters and your work helps improve millions of lives.
  • Thrive in inclusive, flexible workplaces that support your personal and professional well-being.
  • Launch your career with a company that invests in you - and empowers you to reimagine what’s possible.
