Santander Consumer Finance focuses on business development related to consumer finance products, sales channels and commercial agreements with dealers, vehicle manufacturers or retail distribution establishments, as well as commercial functions associated with direct sales (branches, call centersor digital channels) and indirect sales (through third parties) of consumer finance products.

Santander Auto Software is a fully remote software team within the Auto-Finance Domain of Santander. Working with ownership and autonomy, we’vebuilt from scratch, astate-of-the-artglobal software platform and product suite that is being rolled out across Europe. The business is 100% enabled by modern software technology and the organisation iscomprisedof skilled software builders distributed across Europe.

We are looking for skilled back end focusedsoftware engineers with experience working with Java & Kotlin, along with Spring Boot, Kubernetesand AWS, who have experience working in a software on demand production environment. You will build Cloud-native, AWS-based, greenfield software and will have time and support to invent solutions to a wide variety of user, business, and technical challenges. We have no cut-and-paste rolesand neither will your software be of the cut-and-paste (or integrate and configure) variety. We operatea 'build it and own it' culture, and so you will have a DevOps and individual contributor mindset
These will be key hires for back-end building squads and help shape this area of the business forscale and be a key member of a fast-growing global team!
Software development in Java (Spring Boot) & Kotlin - design, build, and deploy
Production deployment experience working with AWS
Experience with automated build and test systems for CI/CD (using Docker, Jenkins, etc)
Experienced in true Agile and its engineering practices with a true DevOps mindset

Professional Experience

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience.
