SAP

SAP is a German software company founded in 1972 by five former IBM engineers and headquartered in Walldorf, and it is the world's largest vendor of enterprise resource planning software. Its systems run the finance, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and human resources processes of a large share of global commerce, with the in-memory S/4HANA suite at the centre and specialised clouds such as SuccessFactors, Ariba and Concur around it. The company is midway through moving its installed base from on-premise licences to cloud subscriptions, and it embeds its Business AI assistant Joule across the portfolio to automate routine enterprise work.
