What you'll bring
Master's or Bachelor's degree in an IT-related major like computer science or software engineering
Full-time student who will graduate in 2028 (Mandatory Requirement）
Foundational programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, etc., and a genuine curiosity about how AI-native applications work.
Awareness of AI/LLM concepts, including prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, and basic evaluation techniques, is a plus.
Familiarity with testing, debugging, logging, and structured development workflows will help you contribute from the start.
Effective English communication and collaboration skills
Creative thinking, learning agility, complex problem-solving capabilities
What you'll build
You will join a structured skill-led journey including onboarding, training & learning, rotation, mentoring and coaching, covering both AI capabilities and core professional skills.
You'll contribute to AI-enabled application features through coding, testing, and debugging. LLM integration tasks, prompt testing, and AI output validation are part of the regular work.

As part of SAP Next Gen, STAR Program offers all students within SAP to work towards their university degree while gaining valuable business experiences at the same time. Our students are assigned to rotate through all business areas, based on their subjects and business demands.
We run our STAR Program in Shanghai, Dalian, Chengdu and Beijing in China with different job profiles such as application engineer, consultant, etc. Partnering with top universities and collaborating closely with a variety of business functions, we have built a strong early talent pipeline for SAP China.
