Senior SDET (JS/TypeScript/Playwright)

At Satellite, we are looking for a driven, smart, and ambitious Senior SDET (JS/TypeScript/Playwright) to join our team and work with a US-based company specializing in home improvement financing.

About Client: HFS Financial is a US-based company specializing in home improvement financing. They help homeowners across the United States access financing solutions for a wide range of renovation and remodeling projects through a fast, transparent, and customer-focused lending platform.

Engagement type: Project-based contract (3-6 months) with a high probability of extension based on project growth and performance.

Please note: This is not a Manual QA role. We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who can design and build a Playwright-based automation framework from scratch, integrate it into the CI/CD pipeline, and help establish automation best practices across the engineering team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building a scalable test automation frameworks from scratch using JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright;
• Developing and maintaining end-to-end, UI, and API automated tests;
• Defining the overall test automation architecture and ensuring its scalability and maintainability;
• Integrating the automation frameworks into the CI/CD pipeline and driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle;
• Collaborating closely with software engineers to improve product quality and establish engineering best practices;
• Identifying testing gaps and continuously improving test coverage, reliability, and performance;
• Troubleshooting test failures and optimizing automated test execution;
• Mentoring developers on running automation tests and promoting automation best practices across the engineering team;
• Taking ownership of the automation framework and continuously evolving it as the product grows.

You'll Be A Great Fit If You Have:

• University degree (ideally in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another related technical field);
• 5+ years of professional experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Software Engineering;
• 2+ years of hands-on commercial experience with Playwright (MUST);
• Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript (MUST);
• Experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch;
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, automation architecture, and engineering best practices;
• Experience with UI and API test automation;
• Experience working with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar);
• Hands-on experience with Allure or other reporting tool and framework integration;
• Practical experience with Docker and containerized environments;
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently;
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving automation initiatives would be a strong advantage;
• Strong verbal and written English (B2-C1) - MUST.
