Satlantis is a Basque space company founded in 2014 and specialised in very high resolution Earth observation cameras. Its compact optical payloads fly on small satellites and detect methane emissions and urban change. The company works with the European Space Agency, NASA partners and energy companies.

At SATLANTIS, we design advanced space technologies to tackle global challenges from above. Our satellites are conceived, designed, and built to deliver reliable, high-performance Earth observation data in demanding orbital environments.

As an Electronics AIT Engineer, you will work hands-on with satellite hardware, supporting integration, testing, and validation activities across both R&D and flight projects, as part of a growing AIT capability within the electronics team.

What’s in it for you

  • Direct involvement in satellite integration and testing: You will work with real hardware, participating in payload and platform validation activities.
  • Hands-on experience from day one: You will contribute to manufacturing, installation, testing, and troubleshooting in both lab and integration environments.
  • Exposure to both R&D and flight projects: You will support early-stage developments as well as full satellite AIT campaigns.
  • Growth within a newly created AIT team: You will be part of building and shaping AIT capabilities within the electronics department.
  • Learning by doing in a multidisciplinary environment: You will collaborate closely with electronics, systems, and integration teams.
  • Opportunity to develop a strong hardware profile: You will build expertise in electronics testing, harnessing, and system integration in the space context.

Your mission

Your mission will be to support the integration, testing, and validation of satellite electronics, ensuring reliability and performance across both R&D and flight projects.

Through hands-on work and attention to detail, you will contribute to building robust electronic systems ready to operate in space.

You will:

  • You will support the preparation of documentation, including schematics, test procedures, and reports.
  • You will participate in manufacturing, harness installation, and routing activities.
  • You will assist in electronic testing, troubleshooting, and satellite integration campaigns.

What will set you up for success

  • A background in electronics or telecommunications engineering: This foundation will allow you to understand and work confidently with electronic systems and interfaces.
  • Up to 1-2 years of experience or strong academic exposure: Whether through internships, projects, or early professional experience, this will help you quickly adapt to AIT environments.
  • Hands-on mindset and attention to hardware: Being careful, precise, and comfortable working with physical systems will be key in integration and testing activities.
  • Willingness to learn and grow quickly: Your curiosity and learning attitude will help you gain autonomy in a short time.
  • Team-oriented approach: Collaborating effectively with different teams will ensure smooth execution of AIT activities.
  • Professional communication in English (B2 or above): You will work in an environment where technical communication in English is part of daily work.

What will help you grow faster

  • Experience in industrial or technical environments: Exposure to sectors such as space, automotive, rail, aerospace, or robotics will help you adapt faster to hardware workflows.
  • Personal engineering projects: Hands-on projects outside of academic or professional work will strengthen your practical understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Postgraduate studies in electronics, telecommunications, or space: Advanced education will reinforce your technical foundation and accelerate your development.

Ready to work hands-on with satellite hardware?

If you enjoy working with electronics, learning through practice, and being part of real satellite integration and testing activities, this is your opportunity to start and grow your career in space. Apply now and join SATLANTIS in building the next generation of satellites.
