Software Engineer (AI4Science)

Key Responsibilities

・Rapidly prototype new software architectures, conduct objective evaluations, and iterate based on user feedback

・Productionize AI research prototypes into secure, reliable, and maintainable production systems

・Design, build, and maintain robust engineering infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools

・Develop agentic workflows, tool integration frameworks, and web/API interfaces for scientific domain applications

・Collaborate closely with research scientists and domain experts to integrate machine learning models into real-world scientific workflows

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong software engineering and distributed systems fundamentals
• Proficiency in Python and Typescript, experience working in large codebases and team-based software development using CI/CD and system observability
• Hands-on experience managing, deploying, or scaling workloads on GPU clusters or high-performance compute (HPC) infrastructure
• Passionate about using AI to accelerate scientific discovery
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and defining problems in a rapidly evolving research environment
• Demonstrated track record of evaluating architectural trade-offs and shipping software in fast-moving or emerging technical domains
• Language: English communication skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Track record of deploying agentic systems or LLM workflows in production environments
• Hands-on experience or deep interest in AI agents, tool calling, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or agent harnesses
• Background in addressing key software or AI challenges across scientific fields
• Experience building web applications or API services capable of serving high concurrent user traffic
• Direct experience with drug discovery workflows (e.g., target identification, lead optimization, ADMET modeling, or clinical data analysis)
• Hands-on experience training or fine-tuning ML models (LLMs, protein language models, or other deep learning architectures)

・Development of technologies to advance research and industrial applications in the above fields as well as commercialization

想定理論年収：6,500,000円～18,000,000円

※月給・想定理論年収：基本給＋固定時間外手当(35時間相当)

※時間外手当は一般職のみとなり、かつ、固定時間外手当(35時間)を超えて勤務した場合は実績に応じて支給いたします

※別途インセンティブが支給されることがあります
