JOB SUMMARY:
The Ballet Instructor prepares and teaches a ballet class.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The employee in this position will have the following essential job functions:
- Instruct weekly classes to dancers ages 2-12 depending on the class level.
- Follow Bella Ballet curriculum teaching ballet appropriate to the class level.
- Enforce Health and Recreation Center policies and procedures when necessary.
- Attend trainings and meetings throughout the semester.
- Help with Rehearsal and Recital.
- Work a shift at Fall Festival.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION:
The person in this position should have a dance background either in performing or instructing.
EXPERIENCE:
The person in this position should have experience in dance or performing arts as well as experience working with children.
SUPERVISION:
The person in this position will supervise no one.
The person in this position will report to the Ballet Coordinator.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The person in this position will work in the gym which sometimes can be noisy, hot or cool.
EQUIPMENT:
The person in this position will use the following equipment: various dance equipment, speakers, microphone, and Planning Center.
