Software Engineer (Ad Tech)

Scopely is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer (Ad Tech) to join our Playgami team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis!

What You’ll Do

• Design, architect, and help implement features to run world-class games at scale
• Contribute to both  client-side integrations across Unity, Android, and iOS and backend services
• Take ownership for the quality of what the team creates, helping to establish good practices
• Deliver high-quality code and supporting documentation through good design, attention to detail, and thorough testing
• Ensure our systems and SDK integrations are reliable, scalable, secure, and performant, with careful attention to their impact on game stability and player experience
• Work in an agile environment where your opinions matter
• Team up with skilled colleagues and collaborate with game teams to deliver reliable products and integrations
• Share knowledge and help colleagues both inside and outside of your team

What We’re Looking For

• A team player with good communication skills, someone who is easy to work with
• Strong computer science and engineering fundamentals (data structures, concurrency, design patterns, algorithms)
• The ability to write high-quality, maintainable code
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or another object-oriented language, including experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming
• Willingness and interest in working across backend and client technologies, including Unity and native mobile development
• A continuous learning mindset and a desire to keep improving your skills
• A product engineering mindset, with an interest in understanding business needs and delivering solutions that create value
• Not a senior engineer yet? Apply anyway! We are looking for talented and driven engineers at all levels, from junior upwards

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP...)
• Experience with Unity, Android development in Java or Kotlin, or iOS development in Objective-C or Swift
• Experience integrating or developing mobile SDKs, particularly advertising or mediation SDKs
• Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
