Scopely is an American mobile games company founded in 2011 that develops and publishes free-to-play titles built around long-term live operations rather than one-off releases. Its portfolio includes Monopoly Go, Stumble Guys, Star Trek Fleet Command, Marvel Strike Force and the Pokemon Go family of games acquired from Niantic, several of which rank among the highest grossing mobile titles in the world. The company is headquartered in Culver City, was acquired by the Saudi Arabian group Savvy Games in 2023, and operates studios across North America, Europe and Asia.

Scopely is looking for a Community Manager to build strong relationships with Star Trek™ Fleet Command players and keep them informed, heard, and engaged.  You will work on a hybrid basis in our Barcelona hub.

This is a highly player-facing role. At its core, you will spend time engaging directly with players in Discord and crafting clear, timely communications for the community. You will work with internal teams to gather accurate information, turn it into useful player communications, and bring player feedback back to the people who can act on it.

You will help players understand what is happening in the game, give them meaningful ways to participate, and make sure their perspectives are represented across the team.

What You’ll Do

  • Engage directly with players in Discord and other official platforms, answer questions, participate in discussions, and help maintain a consistent, welcoming community presence.
  • Write and publish player communications, including blogs, in-game news, patch notes, feature updates, event announcements, social posts, and livestream materials.
  • Coordinate with Product, Live Operations, Player Experience, and Marketing to gather information, confirm details, and deliver accurate communications on time.
  • Plan community engagement around game updates, events, and franchise moments, making sure players know what is happening and how they can take part.
  • Listen to players, identify recurring questions and concerns, and share clear summaries with the teams responsible for the game and player experience.
  • Support community programs such as player councils, player recognition, creator activity, and community events.
  • Work with moderators to uphold community guidelines, support healthy discussion, and escalate sensitive issues appropriately.
  • Track engagement, sentiment, and communication performance, and share useful updates with internal partners.
  • Help the team plan and manage multiple player communications and community activities at once.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 4 years of experience in community management, player communications, or a related role, ideally in games, entertainment, or a fandom-driven environment.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating clear communications for players or online communities.
  • Experience engaging directly with an online community, including responding to questions and participating in discussions.
  • Familiarity with Discord and Reddit and their community management practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple communications and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good judgment when responding to player concerns, handling sensitive topics, and deciding when an issue needs to be escalated.
  • The ability to collect player feedback, identify useful themes, and communicate those insights clearly to internal teams.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working with partners across Product, Live Operations, Player Experience, and Marketing.
  • A player-focused mindset and an interest in the communities and games you support.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with player councils, VIP programs, creator partnerships, or user-generated content.
  • Familiarity with mobile games, live-service operations, strategy games, or long-running online communities.
  • Interest in Star Trek™ and its storytelling, characters, and fan community, or enthusiasm for learning the franchise and Star Trek™ Fleet Command.
  • Experience working with licensed franchises or coordinating with brand and IP partners.

Please ensure that the résumé/CV you attach is written in English.
