Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Architect the Future: Define and evolve the application architecture roadmap and strategy for HR technology, aligning with business goals and emerging trends.
  • Lead with Vision: Provide technical leadership and governance across development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and operational excellence.
  • Design for Impact: Create scalable, cloud-native solutions-primarily on new technologies- that enhance performance, security, and user experience.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into secure, compliant, and innovative technical solutions.
  • Mentor & Inspire: Guide and develop architects and engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in solution architecture and technology strategy, with a strong focus on enterprise platforms.
  • 7+ years of experience delivery of new technology solutions. Expertise in Scotiabank EDF and leadership experience leading large project teams and engaging and influencing multiple business line sponsors
  • Deep expertise in data architecture, data modeling, regulatory reporting, cloud technologies (e.g., GCP, Azure), and modern integration patterns.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and fluency in modern programming concepts, with hands-on experience in programming such as Java and Python.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, influencing and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and/or work experience.
