We are looking for a passionate, creative, analytical, and technically skilled Engineering Manager who can roll up their sleeves and deliver high-quality solutions across the technologies described below. You will be expected to create reusable, extensible, flexible, and high-performing web applications.
1. Official Name of the Designation: Engineering Manager - Healthcare AI Platforms
2. Work Location: Office-based (willing to work full time from office on all working days)
3. Work Timings: Day Shift
4. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or Software Engineering required; a Master's or MBA in CS/AI-ML, plus cloud/AI-ML/HIPAA certification is an added advantage.
5. Prior Experience/Skillsets Required:
- a. Experience: 12 - 15 years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead Manager, or Technical Lead capacity.
- b. Domain Knowledge: Mandatory background in US Healthcare technology, preferably within Revenue Cycle Management, clinical documentation, or EHR integrations.
- c. Tech Stack Proficiency: Strong architectural understanding of Microsoft (.NET), Python (AI/ML frameworks), SQL/relational databases, REST APIs, and modern cloud deployment (AWS/Azure).
- d. AI/LLM Awareness: Practical understanding of AI/ML concepts, NLP, the Python ecosystem, and integrating LLM workflows and agents into production systems.
- e. Compliance & Interoperability: Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance, secure web services, and healthcare data standards (HL7/FHIR).
- f. Analytical & Leadership Mindset: Strong problem-solving aptitude, an ownership-driven approach, and the ability to operate as a proactive self-starter with minimal supervision.
- g. Tooling & Delivery Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, automated testing, version control (Git/GitHub), and modern software design patterns and frameworks.
6. Roles and Responsibilities:
- a. Engineering & Delivery Leadership: Lead and scale engineering teams to build, deploy, and maintain high-performing AI agents across medical scribing, medical coding, VMOS, and RCM workflows. VMOS = (Patient contact center services, medical fax management, prior authorization, patient appointment reminder services, patient engagement services, chart prep services, patient AR followup, prescription refill coordination, etc.)
- b. Technical Architecture & Standards: Drive system architecture (client-side, server-side APIs, and database schemas), establish coding standards, and conduct architecture and code reviews.
- c. Product Alignment & Agile Execution: Partner closely with Product Managers and clinical/RCM stakeholders to convert business requirements into technical specs, MVPs, and sprint backlogs.
- d. People & Team Development: Manage engineering leads and developers - setting performance goals, conducting reviews, removing technical blockers, and mentoring team members.
- e. AI & Engineering Productivity: Champion AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, LLM coding tools) to optimize productivity, code quality, and debugging across FHIR/HL7 pipelines, and stay current on emerging AI trends in software development.
- f. Quality & Compliance: Oversee CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing strategies, and strict adherence to US healthcare security standards (HIPAA, SOC2, secure coding practices).
- g. Stakeholder Communication & Incident Management: Proactively communicate status reports, escalate blockers, and apply root-cause analysis to resolve incidents and defects across the product suite, backed by strong English (verbal and written) and client communication skills.
