Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable backend services and APIs using modern OOP or functional programming languages (e. g., Java, C#, Scala, Kotlin, Python, Go, Rust, Elixir).
- Engineer distributed systems that handle high throughput, low latency, and mission-critical reliability.
- Optimize existing backend infrastructure for scalability, maintainability, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Implement secure coding practices, especially related to financial transactions, data privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Drive technical decisions, review code, and mentor junior engineers.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and best practices for distributed backend systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 8 years of backend development experience with proven expertise in object-oriented (OOP) or functional programming languages.
- Solid experience in designing and maintaining distributed systems and event-driven architectures (e. g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, pub/sub models).
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
- Proficient in database design and optimization for both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB) systems.
- Production experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing for backend applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the FinTech sector, especially with digital payments, banking, wealth management, or related financial domains.
- Knowledge of regulatory and security best practices (PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2, etc. ).
- Exposure to high-performance, low-latency transaction processing.
- Interest or experience in blockchain or cryptographic technologies.
