We’re looking for an experienced Azure Platform DevOps Engineer to join our team and support, enhance, and evolve a cloud platform built on Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in embedding DevOps best practices across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, security, and operational support.

You will work closely with engineering, development, and delivery teams to ensure our Azure platform is secure, scalable, reliable, highly available, and efficiently managed. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, automating processes, and continuously improving cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and optimise Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes across Azure environments.
  • Support and maintain production-grade cloud platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Monitor Azure environments and proactively identify and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Work with development teams to improve deployment processes and establish effective DevOps practices.
  • Support cloud security, access management, networking, and governance in line with organisational standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service issues, and deployment failures in production environments.
  • Contribute to cloud platform improvements, technical standards, and automation initiatives.
  • Help improve system resilience, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Work collaboratively with technical and delivery teams to understand requirements and deliver effective cloud solutions.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure platform engineering.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a DevOps engineering environment.
  • Strong experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with automated application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, Bicep, or ARM.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining live, production-grade cloud platforms.
  • Good understanding of Azure networking, compute, storage, identity, and security services.
  • Experience with source control and collaboration tools such as Git.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational support.
  • Ability to automate repetitive processes using scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and delivery teams.

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Azure security, governance, and identity services, including Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, or similar monitoring platforms.
  • Experience implementing security and compliance practices within Azure environments.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including VNets, subnets, NSGs, load balancing, DNS, and private endpoints.
